Ristretto’s a real head-turner. It’s our most complex blend, with coffees from the highest number of countries in our range of coffees. That’s why it’s bursting with character and contrasts. It’s intense and powerful, yet has bright, fruity notes.
We’ve included coffees from each continent, including Arabicas from southern Colombia’s high plateaux, an Arabica grown on Brazilian hillsides and East African Arabicas.
In search of inspiration for our Ristretto coffee we visited Italy, the home of espresso, and use the time-honoured Neapolitan technique of split-roasting. This involves roasting beans of a similar size and density together to bring out their best characteristics.
This slow, separate roasting of the beans helps create a coffee with real contrasts - sublte, fruity and acidic notes along with intensely roasted and chocolate hints. Discover all the Grands Crus.
